This is a formal departure from the usual cobwebs, vampires and Gothic look but it is still horror, using primary colors in an asymmetric aesthetic instead.
A Clockwork Orange Anthony Burgess 1972 Kubrick-inspired makeup
This clown-like, pasty look evokes a grotesque or macabre feel. It is done with facepainting for the background with different pigments to enhance skin tone and shading, and chunky brushstroke eyeliner for the “lashes”. Hair is a fake ‘bob’ hairstyle.
